Book Review: Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple

It's finally time for my first full book review of the year, featuring the last book I read in 2020! To be honest, I only read Where'd You Go, Bernadette because I heard part of it was set on Antarctica and I still hadn't marked that continent off my reading challenge. Also, since I knew... Mailbox Monday // December 28, 2020

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and weekend, Readers! It certainly was an abnormal Christmas, but I still made memories that I will cherish forever, and I hope you did, too. From a virtual Secret Santa party with friends from college to a socially-distanced Christmas Eve service to relaxing on my own birthday, it's been a full and meaningful season to me, regardless of the craziness.

First Line Friday Featuring Angels at the Table by Debbie Macomber

Christmas-themed blogging might be my favorite kind. It's snuck up on me this year, but here we are! Today's post eases us into Christmas blogging with a First Line Friday post featuring the audiobook I'm currently listening to during my commute.

New Release Blog Tour & Book Review: I Love to Tell the Story by Faith Blum

Happy Friday, Readers! Today we're talking about book two in the Librarians of Willow Hollow series, AKA one of my favorite things to come out of this year! I Love to Tell the Story introduces us to Lillian Sullivan, a kind young woman who leaves her dying home town of Castle Rock, Montana to tackle the challenge of being a horseback librarian in Willow Hollow, Kentucky. She's a bit older and more mature than Lena, the protagonist from the first book, and brings a dedicated perspective on Christianity and Christian love which the town has not seen.

This book released on Tuesday, August 18.

Wrapping Up: July 2020

July is officially over, and I hope that the extreme Summer heat will soon follow suit. I know we probably still have another month of 90 and 100° heat, but I am dreaming of the coming days when I will be able to comfortably eat lunch in my car with the windows down, and drive... First Line Friday {7.3.2020) Featuring A Distant Melody by Sarah Sundin

We're traveling back in time a few different ways with today's featured book: A Distant Melody by Sarah Sundin. This historical fiction book is set during World War 2, and is the book that introduced me to Sundin, who instantly became one of my favorite authors. Five years later I have read many more of Sundin's... Continue Reading →

Spell The Month in Books // June 2020

It's time for a few quick and light book recommendations! Today I'm creating a virtual stack of books, each starting with a letter to spell out June. Each of these is a book that I have read, enjoyed, and gotten something meaningful out of, and I hope that one might catch your eye! This month's... Continue Reading →

Mailbox Monday // June 21, 2020

It's been a while since I could participate in Mailbox Monday! With the library being closed, moving, and just the way life was, I did not receive any new books for several weeks (and honestly that is not a bad thing). This weekend I visited my parents, and apparently when the mail rains, it pours!... Continue Reading →
