Happy Saturday, and welcome to another Spell the Month in Books! Here's the rundown of how this linkup works: As the title implies, the goal is to try to spell the name of the current month by using the first letter of book titles (skipping articles like A, An, and The). This can be done... Continue Reading →
Welcome to the inaugural Spell the Month in Books linkup hosted here at Reviews From the Stacks! Spell the Month in Books started as a hashtag I stumbled across during the spring of 2019 on Instagram and decided to turn into a blog post. Last fall a few other bloggers started creating their own Spell the Month in Books posts and linking back to my post. It's really taken off since then! Today, I'm creating a formal gathering place for Spell the Month in Books.
Hello, Reader! Today I'm back with another Spell the Month in Books. Starting next month, I'm going to experiment with making Spell the Month a formal linkup, so if you have enjoyed these posts and are considering writing your own, keep an eye out! I still have a couple different hosting platforms to research, but... Continue Reading →
In case you're counting, there are now 11 days until Christmas! Are you close to ready? I have bought everything that I need to, decorated my apartment, helped my parents decorate their house, and made...four Christmas music playlists, so I'm in good shape! There are still several things to be done, but I think I will able to accomplish everything at an enjoyable pace.
Hello and welcome to November's Spell the Month in Books post! For this challenge, use the first letter of each book title to spell the current month (skipping articles such as A or The). Some months I try to use a certain genre, cover color, or type of book. Since this month has the daunting letter V, I'm just going to go the classic route and use books I have read and enjoyed.
Good Monday morning, Readers! October is flying by for me; how is it going for you? I'm halfway through my classes for this semester. They're going pretty well; the weekly readings and assignments are easy and usually interesting, though the larger projects are definitely challenging. It's enjoyable to see how what I am learning in class maps onto my current job in the library, and to learn more of the pieces for how everything works together.
It's time for a few quick and light book recommendations! Today I'm creating a virtual stack of books, each starting with a letter to spell out June. Each of these is a book that I have read, enjoyed, and gotten something meaningful out of, and I hope that one might catch your eye! This month's... Continue Reading →
Since I posted a review on Wednesday, this Friday is going to be another "fun" post! Not that all of my posts aren't fun...more like these are specifically *just* for fun. Today I'm having another go at a challenge that regularly makes the rounds on Instagram: spelling the month in books. There are a myriad... Continue Reading →
Hey y'all! Today's post is August's #SpellTheMonthInBooks! #SpellTheMonthInBooks is a feature I see a lot on Instagram, and decided to adapt to a full post here on my blog. To participate, take a picture (or make a list - or both) of books that line up to spell the current month. I do this more... Continue Reading →
