Happy Release Day to Shannon Messenger's latest book!
Spell the Month in Books is a linkup I host on the second Saturday of each month. The goal is to spell the current month with the first letter of book titles, excluding articles such as 'the' and 'a' as needed. Read on to see how we fared this month!
Hello, Reader! In honor of (American) Thanksgiving being this week, I am going to share a few posts about books that I am thankful to have read. Today's post kicks this off with 5 books I am thankful I read as a child. These were some of my favorite books growing up and played a significant role in shaping how I look at the world. With as much time as I have spent this semester reading and talking about the newest children's books, I have enjoyed taking a little time to think about the books from my own childhood. I hope you enjoy reading along, too!
The book review I'm sharing today is over a children's book I picked for the "series" section of the children's literature class I am currently taking. It's a contemporary story from the publisher of the largely historical AmericanGirl books. If you keep up with children's literature in the USA, this character was the 2018 "Girl of the Year." She's friendly, artsy, and knows a lot about space and moon rocks - this introductory book is a fun summer story perfect for just about any chapter book reader.

I had a lot of fun making a handful of seasonal banners last year during some of... Continue Reading →

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s stand for the following questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)’s post, and check out what others are reading and talking about! I typically participate once a month, approximately in the middle of the month, as a halfway check-in on my monthly reading goals.
