Hello and welcome back, Reader! Today's post is linking up with Sam at Taking on a World of Words for WWW Wednesday to talk about the books that are at the front of my mind this week. Even though summer classes are in full swing, the fact that I am only taking two this time (compared... Continue Reading →
Hello again, Reader! If historical fiction is your thing, there are several books in today's post which might be to your liking. I'm going over another 10 titles from my TBR list today to see if I still want to read them or if I should take them off of my list to make room for others.
Do I dare try to set a TBR list for this month? Usually, my reading picks up a bit with the summer, but this year I actually don't anticipate spending any more time reading than I did in the first half of the year. I've never taken classes over the summer before (except for one... Continue Reading →
My summer classes begin tomorrow, as does my library's Summer Reading program. I'm looking forward to both; it has been very nice to catch up a bit over the past few weeks, though. Mom and I even went to the zoo last week, just because! Today in the real world I will be waxing my car, grocery shopping, and finishing up a few things that need to be wrapped up before classes restart. Here on the blog, I'm wrapping up all of my reading & related activities from the month of May!
Happy Friday! This is going to be a somewhat strange weekend for me, as I am off work today, do work tomorrow, and then have Sunday off like normal plus Monday for Memorial Day. I hope to get some last-minute reading and planning done, as my summer classes start on Tuesday. Today I'm sharing a... Continue Reading →
Good Friday morning, Reader! It's crazy what a solid week of good sleep can do for you. Getting up in the morning is so much easier when I don't stay up late working on homework (or stressing about the outcome), and somehow it's so much easier to stay calm and upbeat throughout the day when... Within a week of the end of my Spring semester I had nearly an unreasonable amount of materials checked out from the library. A large portion, however, were cookbooks or gardening books which I flipped through and soon returned (or at least set in a pile to return a few at a time, so as... Continue Reading →
Happy Monday! Reader, I just had the best three-day weekend. I didn't do anything exceptional; the most ambitious thing I did was get a haircut (for the first time in approximately three years). Most of the time was spent on things like filling out my taxes, bleaching my shower, and cooking. But it was so... Continue Reading →
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s stand for the following questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)’s post, and check out what others are reading and talking about! I typically participate once a month, approximately in the middle of the month, as a halfway check-in on my monthly reading goals.
