10 Favorite Books of 2020

What are my favorite books read in 2020? While on the surface it could be difficult to pick anything good or favorite from 2020, there definitely were some good books that came across my desk. Here's a look at my Top Ten.

12 Days of Christmas Day 11 – Three Favorite Decorations

Merry Christmas Eve, Readers! I can hardly believe it's here. As I'm sure you've realized, I love this season very much. All of the anticipation, planning, waiting, and work culminates in the celebrations we hold today and tomorrow (or, for some, through the weekend). As this is a very special time, I decided to do... 12 Days of Christmas Day 7: Christmas Traditions to Carry On in 2020

Welcome to day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas! I keep seeing people talking about how different this year is, how the Christmas season is ruined this year, and endless discussions of general disappointment. This is completely understandable, but today I want to talk about some Christmas traditions that are not ruined this year. Honestly, I think most things that are truly Christmas-oriented are manageable even in a year as crazy as this, some just take some adapting. But I digress. I hope that this post is an encouragement to you, and that it might remind you of something fun that you can do this season despite everything going on. I tried to keep this to things that are free or inexpensive so that everything is accessible to anyone.

12 Days of Christmas Day 6 – My Top 5 Favorite Christmas Movies

If you're like me, wrapping gifts is the perfect time to put on a Christmas movie, make a warm cup of cocoa/coffee/cider/etc, and get to work! There are a few Christmas movies that I enjoy watching every year, and I want to share about these with you today. Most of them are classics, but you might be surprised by what sneaks into my Top 5 List.

Spell the Month in Books // October 2020 Virtual Bookstack

Good Monday morning, Readers! October is flying by for me; how is it going for you? I'm halfway through my classes for this semester. They're going pretty well; the weekly readings and assignments are easy and usually interesting, though the larger projects are definitely challenging. It's enjoyable to see how what I am learning in class maps onto my current job in the library, and to learn more of the pieces for how everything works together.

Five Fall Favorites is an annual blog hop hosted at Read Another Page. I stumbled across... Continue Reading →

The Fall Bucket List Book Tag

Let's have some fun this Monday, Readers! I am LOVING the cooler weather fall has brought (granted, "cooler" in Oklahoma means highs in the 80s and sometimes 70s), and I'm also enjoying seeing the autumnal tags floating around. Last month I did the Fall Favorites Tag, and today I'm doing a more bookish fall-themed tag: The... Continue Reading →

Fall Favorites Tag

Happy Tuesday and Happy Fall, Readers!!  The high today is supposed to be 70 degrees, there is a 100% chance of rain, and I am thrilled! This is perfect beginning-of-fall weather. I am so happy to have made it through the heat of summer and be into a season that feels kinder to me. To celebrate the beginning of fall, today I'm doing the Fall Favorites Tag.

A Few of My Favorite Things // Summer 2020

Before you call me out, I know that technically summer isn't over until late September. But, with school starting for me today (yay!) and the Summer Reading program formally over at the library, my mindset in definitely turning toward fall. I actually listened to a Christmas playlist a few days ago, because that season feels... Continue Reading →

I Completed My 2020 Goodreads Goal!

On Saturday, July 25, I achieved my goal of reading 60 books in 2020!! I am so glad that I got this finished before school starts next month (somehow orientation being this Saturday seems both way too soon and not soon enough!). I wanted to have a little fun to celebrate, so I'm doing the... Continue Reading →
