What Classic Ending Would You Change? // Classic Remarks Linkup

Happy Friday! I'm trying something new today and participating in the Classic Remarks linkup. The host shares a prompt relating to classic books in advance, and then you write a post or comment with your response. I have mixed feelings about classic books, but it's fun to talk about them and to hear a variety of opinions! Today's prompt is an interesting question. It really got me thinking about books I have read and disliked, and what I would change if given the chance. I've kept my post relatively brief (I don't want to bore you with all the details of my opinions today!), and I invite you to consider the following prompt and share your own answer as well:

6 Degrees of Separation: From Bass Rock to Garden Spells

Today's post participates in #6DegreesofSeparation hosted by Kate at booksaremyfavouriteandbest. The gist is that everyone starts with the same book, then finds another book that relates to it somehow, then one that relates to the second, until you’ve got a chain of six additional books. It’s a twist on the theory that every person on earth can somehow be connected to any other person in six or fewer steps, and provides an opportunity to talk about random books we love (or don’t).

First Line Friday Featuring: Meg & Jo by Virginia Kantra

I have an exciting book to share with you today! If you saw my June TBR & Goals post or if you've followed Reviews From the Stacks for a few years, you may know that June is time for the Louisa May Alcott Reading Challenge hosted by Tarissa of In the Bookcase and that I love this month-long reading challenge! There are so many good books by, about, or otherwise related to Louisa May Alcott. This challenge is the perfect push to read them for myself and a way to read about similar books that others are reading and enjoying (or not enjoying).

First Line Friday & New Release Spotlight: Discernment by Lauren H. Salisbury

Today is the first Friday in June, so it's time to participate in First Line Friday! This edition is extra fun because the book I'm highlighting is a new release I'm excited about: book 3 in Lauren Salisbury's Legacy Chronicles series. Because my summer classes also started this week, I haven't started reading this book yet, but I hope to soon! It's going to be high on my Summer TBR list, at least.

WWW Wednesday May 12, 2021

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s stand for the following questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)’s post, and check out what others are reading and talking about! I typically participate once a month, approximately in the middle of the month, as a halfway check-in on my monthly reading goals.
