12 Days of Christmas day 7 - just over halfway through!
Buckle your seat belt, because we're jumping across the pond for today's virtual library visit! I suppose that might defeat the purpose of calling it a road trip, since we won't be reaching this one by car (at least not exclusively), but when I heard about this library I knew I had to feature it.... Happy Monday, Readers! Whatever you're up to this week, I hope it starts out well for you. There's nothing particularly exciting on my schedule for this week aside from a stack of surprisingly thick juvenile fiction books. Hopefully they won't take more than two or three days each, but we'll see. I've been sitting on... Continue Reading →
May is drawing to a close, which means the season is changing and summer is starting to creep in. I am glad to be just about through the stormiest time of the year, but there is something even bigger to look forward to June: the local library's Summer Reading program runs June 1 - July 31!
Hello, Reader! There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding what it means to be a librarian and what is required to get a library science degree. Even within the bookish community, it can be easy to assume that what you see is all there is when actually there is a lot more work, study, and... Continue Reading →

They also wanted to encourage adults to read more, but to do it in a fun way. From this context the Winter Book Bingo Reading Challenge was born!
Welcome to my October wrap up post! I read more than I realized this month, so there is a fair bit to talk about!
My garden is nearly done for the season, so instead of a Garden Chronicles post today I'm going to do a random book tag!
On Saturday, July 25, I achieved my goal of reading 60 books in 2020!! I am so glad that I got this finished before school starts next month (somehow orientation being this Saturday seems both way too soon and not soon enough!). I wanted to have a little fun to celebrate, so I'm doing the... Continue Reading →
This is an exciting week, because I get to talk about two new releases by independent authors who I support wholeheartedly! Then, I'll have a just for fun post on Wednesday (possibly a tag?), my review of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes on Friday, and I attend orientation for graduate school on Saturday. That's a lot for my literary heart to be happy about!
