Find out my favorite books from 2021!
Today's post was originally supposed to be a collection of mini reviews of Christmas books I've read. However, I'm running short on time today (and honestly didn't end up completing as many Christmas books as I originally hoped), so instead of reviewing I'm just going to feature 5 favorite Christmas-themed books I have read in the past and 1 current Christmassy read that I am pretty sure will become a new favorite. These are all books I highly recommend and would give a 4 or 5 star review.
Lords a leaping - it's day 8 of 12 Days of Christmas 2021! For today's post I'm participating in a Christmas book tag which I first saw on Michelle's blog. It was created by Turn Another Page and looks like a lot of fun.
What do I have checked out from the library, now that the school semester is over? Hint: it's almost entirely Christmas materials!
First Line Fridayย is a weekly linkup hosted atย Reading is My Superpower. To participate, share the first line of a book of your choice, add the link to the linkup on the hostโs page, and check out what others are reading and sharing!ย This is also day 4 of my 12 Days of Christmas 2021 mini-series.
WWW Wednesdayย is a weekly meme currently hosted by Sam atย Taking on a World of Words. The three Wโs stand for the following questions:ย Whatย are you currently reading?ย Whatย did you recently finish reading?ย Whatย do you think youโll read next? To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)โs post, and check out what others are reading and talking about! I typically participate once a month, approximately in the middle of the month, as a halfway check-in on my monthly reading goals.
I had a plan for this post to be much more detailed and to talk about the reasons I am glad I read these authors recently, but as I'm currently trying not to drown in a fairly massive research-based school project, that didn't end up being feasible. Please know that the following authors are ones... Continue Reading →

Hello, Reader. I'm running a bit low on time to blog these days because of school work, so for a little while I may not be writing as many substantial introductions to my posts as I used to. Instead we're just going to jump into the meat of the post. Enjoy!
The book review I'm sharing today is over a children's book I picked for the "series" section of the children's literature class I am currently taking. It's a contemporary story from the publisher of the largely historical AmericanGirl books. If you keep up with children's literature in the USA, this character was the 2018 "Girl of the Year." She's friendly, artsy, and knows a lot about space and moon rocks - this introductory book is a fun summer story perfect for just about any chapter book reader.
