We're traveling back in time a few different ways with today's featured book: A Distant Melody by Sarah Sundin. This historical fiction book is set during World War 2, and is the book that introduced me to Sundin, who instantly became one of my favorite authors. Five years later I have read many more of Sundin's... Continue Reading →
It's been a while since I could participate in Mailbox Monday! With the library being closed, moving, and just the way life was, I did not receive any new books for several weeks (and honestly that is not a bad thing). This weekend I visited my parents, and apparently when the mail rains, it pours!... Continue Reading →
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s stand for the following questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)’s post, and check out... Let's end this week on a fun note! There seem to be a ton of creative new tags popping up these days, and I'm going to do one that I saw on Bookish Me recently. I would love to hear your answers to these questions, too, if you feel like playing along.

As I go through the list, I will evaluate each book and decide whether or not it still belongs. Who knows,... Continue Reading →
This month's TBR and goals are more of a struggle to set than usual. Of course, with the library being closed for 6 weeks, I quickly went through all my checked out materials. Next, since I planned to cut back on the number of book review requests I accept in order to prepare for starting grad school this year, I am entirely caught up there. Also, I have made large strides in reading books that I own but had not yet read, especially those on my 2020 Read or Donate shelf (which you can read an introduction to here). So, where do I turn from here?
April 2020 has been a mess, but we made it! Today's the day for seeing how we did with this month's goals, and outlining next month's. Here is my April wrap-up; May's TBR list and goals will be posted soon, probably on Monday (May 4)!

Being at home all day, every day, has given me extra time to read through the books that I already own. I've made a good dent in my 2020 Read or Donate shelf, and I feel really good about how much I am reading and doing in general! I thought that this would also have... Continue Reading →
