I’ve finally started reading Kellyn Roth’s The Chronicles of Alice & Ivy series from the beginning! I’ve read one of the later books and I think all of the novellas that are scattered throughout, but this will be the first time I have properly read the series as it is intended. I’m enjoying it so far! The motivation for this comes from the fact that the author is hosting a casual read-along in preparation for publishing the latest book in the series in September. Assuming I keep up with it (which is the plan at this point), I will probably write a few check-in posts and reviews along the way.
The nonfiction that I am reading in this season is also rather exciting to me, even if some of the titles sound a bit dull. How Much More? is a book that I first saw on TikTok, making it the first that I came across on that platform and then followed through with finding and reading. And it’s even more enjoyable to read than I expected! I don’t share all of the author’s theological convictions, so I’ve gone in fairly guarded but intrigued, but none of the aspects we disagree on have come into play as of yet and I am greatly enjoying her style.
