First Line Friday 23.1 Featuring: Counted with the Stars by Connilyn Cossette

Happy Friday! We may be three weeks into the year but today is my first time joining in with First Line Friday for 2023. The book I’m featuring today is my first finish for 2023, and somewhat surprisingly it’s getting a 5 star rating from me! To keep the “firsts” train going – this is the first book I’ve read by this author, and the first in a series which I hope to continue reading this year. I’m pretty excited about it, so let’s get to the first line.

First Line Friday is a weekly linkup hosted at Reading is My Superpower. To participate, share the first line of a book of your choice, add the link to the linkup on the host’s page, and check out what others are reading and sharing!

  2. My first line comes from Hearts of Steel by Elizabeth Camden:
    Prologue
New York City, 1890 Lower East Side of Manhattan
Maggie Molinaro was five blocks from the safety of her uncle’s garage when she noticed the gang of boys following her.

    Happy Friday!
I’m currently reading The Billionaire’s Nanny by Elizabeth Maddrey. It’s a good story.
“‘You’re back!’ Megan darted out from behind the cash register as soon as I stepped through the bookstore door, and pulled me into a tight hug.”
I hope you have a good weekend. 😀
