WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s stand for the following questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)’s post, and check out what others are reading and talking about! I typically participate once a month, approximately in the middle of the month, as a halfway check-in on my monthly reading goals.
What Am I Currently Reading?
📚 Why I Wake Early by Mary Oliver (2005) Poetry
I may not have much choice in waking up early these days, but it’s nice to read a positive viewpoint on it. Also, I’m loving Mary Oliver’s poetry more with each day – so glad I decided to try her work!
📚 Uncomfortable: The Awkward and Essential Challenge of Christian Community by Brett McCracken (2017) Nonfiction, Christianity
This book has taken a turn that I did not expect at all (talking about charismatic gifts and related topics), and it’s incredibly interesting despite my disagreement.
📚 The Wrong Jesus by Greg Monette (2014) Nonfiction, Christianity
I’m also still reading a handful of other books for school. You can see more of what I am reading on my Goodreads.
What Did I Recently Finish Reading?
📚 Best Friends for Never (Katie the Catsitter #2) (2022) Middle Grade Fiction, Graphic Novel
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This series might be my favorite thing that I found through the Children’s Lit class I took last semester. It is so much fun, and full of cute cats!
📚 Blue Horses by Mary Oliver (2014) Poetry
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
📚 The Comeback by E.L. Shen (2021) Middle Grade Fiction
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What Might I Read Next?
📚 In Perfect Time (Wings of the Nightingale #3) by Sarah Sundin (2014) Historical Fiction
Amanda Tero Recently reviewed this book, and it’s a series that I always meant to go back and finish, so if I have time (that’s a pretty big if), why not?
📚 Braver by Suzanne Selfors (2020) Middle-Grade Fiction
Middle-Grade Fiction is just so much easier to read in this season. Also, look at that adorable cover!
📚 The Women of Easter by Liz Curtis Higgs (2017) Nonfiction – Christianity
What books are in your orbit this week?
Until the next chapter,
Jana

I am listening to Olga Tokarczuk’s Flights and really feeling very stupid this week. (and yet I continue listening – hoping that something will click)

Flights sounds fascinating! I hope you get something out of it by the time it’s through.
