Welcome to the first Spell the Month in Books of 2022! Can you believe we’ve been doing this for a full year now? I didn’t imagine when I started making these posts that they would become as popular as they are, and it makes me very happy to see so many people enjoy sharing book recommendations and finding new things to read from this unique linkup. If you enjoy this post, feel free to write your own and link it in the comments at any time, and if you have any questions, just ask!
Spell the Month in Books is a linkup I host on the second Saturday of each month. The goal is to spell the current month with the first letter of book titles, excluding articles such as ‘the’ and ‘a’ as needed. That’s all there is to it! Some months there are theme challenges, such as “books with an orange cover” or books of a particular genre, but for the most part, any book you want to use is fair game! To participate, simply make a post, comment, or picture of the books you choose. They can be books you physically own or simply titles you have come across. Most of the time I create a virtual bookstack from titles on my Goodreads shelves. If you make a list, please share a link to your post in the comments so that I and other participants can see! There is also a Spell the Month in Books button which you can use in your posts. To use it, copy the code from the box below my list and paste it into your blog editor in HTML mode (for WordPress users, insert a “Customer HTML” block and paste the code there).

I said I wasn’t using a theme, but then almost all of the books I selected ended up being historical fiction! That’s generally what I am most drawn to though, so seeing as everything is from my TBR list, it isn’t terribly surprising.
Thank you for joining me for the first Spell the Month linkup of 2022! If you write a Spell the Month in Books post, please leave a comment with your link so that I and others can check it out! I also track the hashtag #SpelltheMonthinBooks, but I am currently not very active on Instagram or any other social media.
Until the next chapter,
Jana

Lots of interesting titles on your list, Jana. I do enjoy good Historical Fiction. Just posted mine, tried to use a winter theme this month. https://wp.me/p6H3KI-7Tj
