Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a titled librarian? As I am working through my degree, each semester I share an overview of the classes I am taking. Today's post covers year two, semester two of working toward an MLS.
This tag appears to originate on Instagram, and I haven't been tagged but hope that no one minds my jumping in anyways. The challenge is to share book covers that look alike.
I think I am more excited about this release than I ever have been before about an author by whom I haven't read anything else!
Today's post was originally going to be part of First Line Friday, but at the last minute I decided that instead I want to share some of the good, encouraging, or fun things that I came across this week.
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s stand for the following questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)’s post, and check out what others are reading and talking about! I typically participate once a month, approximately in the middle of the month, as a halfway check-in on my monthly reading goals.
It has become apparent that my TBR (to be read) list has gotten nearly out of hand. Therefore, I have decided to do a post featuring ten books from it approximately every other week. As I go through the list, I will evaluate each book and decide whether or not it still belongs. Who knows, perhaps as my list (hopefully) shrinks, you will find a few books to add to your own!
This started as a Facebook post to accompany a playlist I have been working on lately, but it quickly became unsuitably long. It's a different pace from what I usually write and doesn't completely fit my blog's theme, but I hope that you can get something out of this, or at least enjoy the playlist at the end.
Reviewing my final five-star novel from 2021! Here my love of historical fiction, C.S. Lewis, and beautiful writing are all found.
#6DegreesofSeparation is hosted by Kate at booksaremyfavouriteandbest. The gist is that everyone starts with the same book, then finds another book that relates to it somehow, then one that relates to the second, until you’ve got a chain of six additional books. It’s a twist on the theory that every person on earth can somehow be connected to any other person in six or fewer steps, and provides an opportunity to talk about random books we love (or don’t).
