12 Days of Christmas 2021 Day 10!
This morning when I stepped outside the world was filled with dense fog. Since there were not as many people on the road as usual, it actually made for a pretty enjoyable drive. I like how soft and muted the atmosphere feels when it’s overcast and foggy. However, I’m glad I was only driving to work – a route that I obviously know incredibly well – and not at higher speeds. I even saw a coyote cross the road in front of me today, which hasn’t happened in a long time! Narnia has been on my mind a lot since I started reading Once Upon a Wardrobe (which I am loving so far, by the way), and this morning it seemed like I might turn a corner and see Cair Paravel rise from the fog instead of the city buildings I knew were there, or hear the coyote call out a greeting (or a perhaps warning).
Although I already talked about Christmas hymns last Sunday, today’s post is about Christmas music for traveling. Whether you’re crossing several states or just going across town, the right music can make your trip festive and fun.
Last year I shared a few of my favorite Christmas songs and said that I didn’t want to overwhelm you by sharing all of my favorite music. Well, this year my perspective is a little different. I still won’t share quite all of my favorite Christmas music (I’m not sure I could even nail that down for myself!), but I am sharing the playlist I have curated this month to listen to in the car and while working on various Christmas tasks. It’s more than 4 hours long, so if you have a lot of driving to do, it should get you a substantial ways! This playlist isn’t in any particular order except the one in which I thought of songs or artists that I wanted to include, so in my opinion it is best listened to in shuffle mode. I hope you enjoy!
Jana’s 2021 Christmas Road Trip Playlist
Have you come across any new-to-you Christmas music recently that you really enjoy? Do you listen to music while you drive/travel?
I can’t hardly believe there are only two more days until Christmas. It’s certainly going to be unique; apparently the temperature is supposed to get over 80°F on Christmas Day! So much for wearing my favorite Christmas & coffee-themed sweater for pictures 😂.
Until the next chapter,
