Wrapping Up February 2021

What a wild month February has been! For me, most of it was spent at home, staying warm and watching the snow. A few good books came my way, too. Read on for the details!

Tackling the TBR #18

Are you ready to hear about ten more books I once said I wanted to read? I'm very excited about some of the books that are up today! Let's get to it!

Book Spotlight: Gain Save Give by Peter Dixon

Happy Friday! Today I am spotlighting a new nonfiction book that I am looking forward to reading. As a young adult still in the early stages of my career, finding a financial balance is an ongoing process. If you're like me and don't have all the answers for determining an overarching financial management plan or theory, then this might be the perfect book for you! I haven't yet had a chance to read it, but I am looking forward to it very much.

WWW Wednesday // February 17, 2021

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s stand for the following questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)’s post, and check out... Continue Reading →

Would You Rather: Fictional Grab Bag Book Tag

I saw this fun book tag on Katie's Cottage Books, and I believe it was created by Write On Cordy. This looks like a perfect activity for a frigid, snowy, stay-inside-and-read kind of day! It snowed all day yesterday, and it is all actually sticking. Grab a warm cup and join me in contemplating these... Continue Reading →

Spell the Month in Books // February 2021 Linkup

Welcome to the inaugural Spell the Month in Books linkup hosted here at Reviews From the Stacks! Spell the Month in Books started as a hashtag I stumbled across during the spring of 2019 on Instagram and decided to turn into a blog post. Last fall a few other bloggers started creating their own Spell the Month in Books posts and linking back to my post. It's really taken off since then! Today, I'm creating a formal gathering place for Spell the Month in Books.

Book Review: Eubeltic Quest by Nadine C. Keels

Happy Friday! The main story where I am has been the weather - we've been close to record lows! There has been snow, ice, and negative wind chills. None of those things are weather that I am used to! Thankfully, my work has been responsible with adjusting our operating hours so that staff can travel... Continue Reading →

Library Loot // February 10, 2021

Good morning, Reader! Is it cold where you are today? The high today is supposed to be 22F but feel like 9F, which is definitely NOT normal for Oklahoma! I can't honestly say I'm looking forward to running books curbside in this, but at the same time, I am glad that we are open. We... Continue Reading →

Tackling the TBR #17

I hope you had a good weekend, Readers. Mine was busy with school and typical weekend errands. I did get to finish reading Tune It Out, which is a wonderful middle grade book if you're looking for something earnest and quick to read. I hope to finish at least one more book this week, although... Continue Reading →

Unraveled Wednesday // February 3, 2021

Happy Wednesday! For nearly the past two years, each month here has started with a Yarn Along post. Sadly, the host has decided to discontinue Yarn Along, so the linkup is no more. I'm very sad to see this go, as I have loved seeing everyone's projects progress each month. I've also found and followed a lot of yarn- and book-loving bloggers because of this linkup. It will definitely be missed, but such is the life cycle of a blog meme.
