It's finally here - the last day of 2020. I know a lot of people are really looking forward to today and the year that starts tomorrow, but honestly, I don't have strong feelings about it. I'm excited to start working on new goals and to see what the year brings, though. But before we can start working on next year's plans, it's time to wrap up this month and the Literary Christmas Reading Challenge.
Post-Christmas Coffee Chat – A Random Rambling Post About Advent, Christmas, and Easter
Today's post is a kind that I rarely write. I'm going to share some thoughts I've been mulling over the past few days and just speaking from my heart. This post isn't about books, but I believe it is more important than more of the posts I write. Grab your cup of coffee (mine is iced, despite the season), settle into your couch, and read this post as you would listen to a good friend because that is how I am writing this post: as if to a friend who asked "What's on your mind?"
Mailbox Monday // December 28, 2020
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and weekend, Readers! It certainly was an abnormal Christmas, but I still made memories that I will cherish forever, and I hope you did, too. From a virtual Secret Santa party with friends from college to a socially-distanced Christmas Eve service to relaxing on my own birthday, it's been a full and meaningful season to me, regardless of the craziness.Â
The Greatest First Line Friday // 12 Days of Christmas 2020 Day 12
Today is Christmas. We've waited, counted the days, planned, baked, wrapped, mailed, and done a hundred other things to prepare for this day. Now, it's finally time to bask in the glory of this wondrous occasion! But, what IS this occasion?
12 Days of Christmas Day 11 – Three Favorite Decorations
Merry Christmas Eve, Readers! I can hardly believe it's here. As I'm sure you've realized, I love this season very much. Christmas Book Review: The Women of Christmas by Liz Curtis Higgs // 12 Days of Christmas Day 10
Today is Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas! When I started participating in this blog party, I wasn't sure if I would keep up with posting every day - and now here we are in the home stretch! I work like normal today (although I expect it to be fairly crazy), but then I have four days off work to celebrate and relax. I am looking forward to it so very much!
12 Days of Christmas Day 9: Battle of the Christmas Book Covers
I recently saw another blogger do this kind of post, and for the life of me I now can't figure out who it was! Basically, you share images of the covers of different editions of books and say which one you like best. Since Christmas books tend to have some of the most beautiful covers, I thought it would be fun to see so many cozy covers in one post!
Christmas Mini Book Review: The Christmas Cat by Melody Carlson
Happy first day of winter! Usually, Oklahoma is a little slow on the uptake about season changes, but this year we got winter early (and I am not complaining). It has definitely helped me get into the Christmas spirit.Â
12 Days of Christmas Day 7: Christmas Traditions to Carry On in 2020
Welcome to day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas! I keep seeing people talking about how different this year is, how the Christmas season is ruined this year, and endless discussions of general disappointment. This is completely understandable, but today I want to talk about some Christmas traditions that are not ruined this year. Honestly, I think most things that are truly Christmas-oriented are manageable even in a year as crazy as this, some just take some adapting. But I digress. I hope that this post is an encouragement to you, and that it might remind you of something fun that you can do this season despite everything going on. I tried to keep this to things that are free or inexpensive so that everything is accessible to anyone.

There are a few Christmas movies that I enjoy watching every year, and I want to share about these with you today. Most of them are classics, but you might be surprised by what sneaks into my Top 5 List.
