Nonfiction November Week 4: Top 7 New to My TBR

Joining in for another round of Nonfiction November! This week is hosted by Doing Dewey, and the theme is "New to My TBR." Because my virtual TBR list grows much more quickly than my physical TBR stack, I'm going to share a few of the nonfiction books I have recently added on Goodreads. Unless otherwise noted, I don't own copies of these, they just look like titles I would like to read!

Mailbox Monday / Library Loot // November 23, 2020

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists. Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Sharlene from Real Life Reading that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve... Continue Reading →

Book Review: A Girl’s Guide to the Outback by Jessica Kate

Happy Friday! Today's book review is a complicated one. I really, truly wanted to like this one, but it is rather problematic. If you're looking for a slow ease into Christmas reading, this might be a book to consider, as it is set around Christmas but really doesn't have anything to do with the holiday. The big draw to me was the setting - Australia! Read on for my full thoughts.

To participate, make a post or comment answering the three questions, link up to the host (Sam)’s post, and check out... Continue Reading →

Happy Monday! This promises to be a very busy week, with some activities that would usually happen next week pushed into this one in order to make room for Thanksgiving. I'm sure that four-day weekend will be worth it, though! Today I'm taking another look through my TBR list. There are some interesting titles in... Continue Reading →

First Line Friday // November 13, 2020 Featuring The Grace of Enough

Happy Friday! This week has been long and busy for me. I may have mentioned previously that I (along with the rest of the Staff Association) am running a system-wide pumpkin decorating contest for all library staff. This week closed the entry period, and now voting is open! So there was a flurry of activity... Continue Reading →

Spell the Month in Books // November 2020 + Update!

Hello and welcome to November's Spell the Month in Books post! For this challenge, use the first letter of each book title to spell the current month (skipping articles such as A or The). Some months I try to use a certain genre, cover color, or type of book. Since this month has the daunting letter V, I'm just going to go the classic route and use books I have read and enjoyed.
