February 2020 TBR & Goals

Happy February, Readers! What are you looking forward to this month? Several people close to me have birthdays this month, so I’m looking forward to doing a lot of celebrating! Of course, there’s also Valentine’s Day, and I don’t think I’m in the minority when I say it’s coming with mixed feelings for me. Honestly, my instinct is to roll my eyes and try to tune everyone out who really celebrates this holiday, but I’m trying to change my perspective this year. I’m trying to take more seriously Romans 12:15, which says to “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” I could write a whole post just about that (and maybe I will?), but that isn’t what today’s post is for. Today I’m sharing my February TBR list, and a few goals for this month to help me stay on track with the things I want to accomplish this year. I’m intentionally adding more books to my TBR that I realistically think I can read this month, because even now I am not entirely settled on these particular books. I want to leave room for changing my mind or adjusting which yearly reading goal to work on at the moment.

πŸŽ€ Start a new knitting project

πŸŽ€ Survive another Staff Association Fundraiser

πŸŽ€ Attend an OKC Philharmonic concert (okay, more a plan than a goal, but definitely something I am looking forward to!)

I don’t think my goals are overly ambitious this month. It is highly unlikely I will read all of the books listed on my TBR, but I’m okay with that. We’ll see what I want to read when the time comes.

Reminder: Tomorrow is the last day to enter the giveaway celebrating Reviews From the Stacks’ second birthday! Click here to enter (you’ll have to scroll down a bit to get to the giveaway info section). As of the time of this writing, there is currently only one person entered, so you will have a good chance of winning. I will be drawing for a $10 Barnes & Noble giftcard, a set of fancy Sharpies, and some cute paperclips.

Praying your February is filled with peace, joy, and love. Do you have any special plans for February? Are you reading anything specific? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!

Until the next chapter,

  1. Good to have a plan and good for it to be flexible. I have made a start on my reading challenge to read books from European authors. I am knitting my way through a project I bought yarn for a few years ago. I also want to finish the crochet blanket which has been gathering dust recently.
