I hope you aren’t tired of New Year themed posts yet, because I have one more for you today!
This post is inspired by That Artsy Reader Girl‘s Top Ten Tuesday theme yesterday: best books of 2018. I already had a post planned for yesterday, but I really liked the idea, so I decided to use the prompt today!
My Top Ten Books of 2018 (not in order):
- Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold by Iain Reading (Middle Grade, Mystery, Adventure)
- Julia David’s Mighty Ones trilogy: Burgundy Gloves, Broken Chain, and Black Coat (Christian, Romance, Historical Fiction [19th c])
- When Beauty Blooms by Victoria Lynn (Historical Fiction [18th c], Romance)
- Prairie Song by Mona Hodgson (Historical Fiction [19th c wagon train], Romance)
- Love Covers by Julia David (Historical Fiction [19th c], Christian, Romance)
- Beyond Her Calling by Kellyn Roth (Historical Fiction [19th c], Christian, Romance)
- Impostors by Scott Westerfeld (YA, Post-Apocalyptic/Dystopia)
- Vintage Christmas by Marlene Campbell (Historical Nonfiction [20th c], Short Story Collection, Memoir-ish)
- A-Void by Babak Goban (Post-Apocalyptic, Science Fiction)
- On Distant Shores by Sarah Sundin (Historical Fiction [WW2], Christian, Romance)
I can’t narrow it down to my single favorite book of the year, but 10 is doable. Do you have a favorite book (or few) from 2018?
Until the next chapter,
Jana
I’ve enjoyed the Kitty Hawk series myself… they’re pretty good books. I think that’s actually the only one I’ve read from your top 10 list. Some of the others are ones I want to read though — so I might read some off your list in 2019. Really looking forward to When Beauty Blooms.
